It was Labor Day in the Sun. Family- those that could- built sand castles, buried each other in the sand, chased birds and frolicked in the gigantic waves the best we could. Food was great with a platter of chips and Chick-Fil-A. Yum.

Christmas in NY

I went to NY to the NY's Anesthesia Conference. I went to the conference in the day and to plays and shows in the evening. We saw The Understudy, Mary Poppins, Rock of Ages and Radio City Music Hall's Christmas Program. Here are some of the Pictures of the Blessing.

Sycamores go to Las Vegas

Every day we went to a show. Sat- La Reve, a water circus, Monday-Mystere, Tuesday-Terry Fator, Wednesday V the Ultimate Variety Show and best of all Friday-Donnie and Marie. We didn't win any money since we didn't play. The only thing about the casinos that bothered me was the smoke. I ignored the gamblers- whoops gamers. During the days we did short trips to Canyon of fire, Las Vegas ski & snowboard resort near Mt Charleston, Springs Preserve, Red Rock Canyon and Mountain Ranch State Park an old Mormon watering hole on the way to San Bernardino. Thursday we had Thanksgiving Dinner with Uncle Ray and Cecily. Shirley drove up on Tuesday night and also joined us Thursday for Thanksgiving. Kathy- Ray's daughter came to visit her dad.
SATURDAY

Old Las Vegas Mormon Fort. In 1855 The fort was built with the help of about 50 men sent by Brigham Young. This is the entry gate.

This is near the entry of the Wynn Hotel. We went to Le Reve.

Look carefully and you will see the giant flowers behind Karen. This is how Le Reve ended.
MONDAY

Elephant Rock in Canyon of Fire.

Rainbow Arch in Canyon of Fire. Well a small version of it.

New York, New York Hotel.

Lady Liberty was as large as the real statue. At least it seemed so.

We drove here in about an hour. A waitress told us about the ski resort so we decided to take a look.
WEDNESDAY

Spring Preserve is a hands on museum about the desert.
